Meet Greg Garnish. He's a Margaret River winemaker who isn’t afraid to do things differently.
After establishing a great reputation with Harmans Estate's award winning single-estate wines, last year Greg trialled distilling a really good batch of white wine.
Impressed with the results, Greg spent the next six months distilling eighteen of their different wine types. The result was something very different and delicious - Australia’s first and only Pisco.
Bursting with floral notes of jasmine and orange blossom, Harmans Estate Pisco was originally launched earlier this year.
Released in single, blended and liqueur varieties this Aussie Pisco is best served on ice or with tonic, lemonade or ginger beer. They’ve also released pre-blended sour and ginger mixes which work beautifully as a base for the Pisco Sour and Chilcano cocktails.
About Harmans Estate.
Opening in 1999, Harmans Estate is a family-run premier small batch winery, which processes, produces, bottles and labels onsite - a rarity for the region.
Under the guidance of winemakers Greg Garnish and Bernie Stanlake, great care and attention to detail goes into creating gold medal winning wines, like their GG Cabernet Sauvignon which won gold at the 2016 Sydney International Wine Competition and Sauvignon Blanc, which won gold at the Gold Langtons Margaret River Wine Show.
Along with wine and Pisco, Harmans Estate also create delicious red and white liqueurs from Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc wine varieties.
